Welcome to 2024: A Year of Intention! As February unfolds, we invite you to join us in setting an intention of balance and harmony for the mind, body, and spirit. 

February is a time of transition; winter starts to give way to the new blooms of spring, and we begin to emerge from our slow slumber and plan for the work to be done in the upcoming season. It's the perfect time to set intentions that foster balance and harmony. Whether it's work-life balance, emotional well-being, or personal relationships, identify aspects of your life that require attention (and be sure to set realistic priorities!). 

In a world where we’re pulled in a million directions, it’s important to find ways to recenter so we can handle each day gracefully. Energy flows best when we are balanced and aligned, and life becomes easier when we learn the power of alchemy. Where you find areas of challenge, add more ease; where you find opportunity for growth, add in action. The key is finding that neutral ground so you can tell when something’s amiss.

RITUALS FOR BALANCE AND HARMONY

We’ve curated 2 rituals you can incorporate into your month - feel free to try them out once or repeat as often as you like. As we like to say, take what you like and leave the rest - rituals should resonate with you, so don’t be afraid to make it your own!


MORNING MEDITATION RITUAL

Start your day right with this ritual as soon as you wake up! Easier said than done, we know. Even for just a few minutes, focusing on your breath and clearing your mind can help you walk through the rest of your day in harmony.

1. SET THE SCENE

Begin by finding a quiet space where you won't be disturbed. Create a serene atmosphere with soft lighting, a spritz of a scented mist, and perhaps some calming music (we love Spotify’s Peaceful Meditation playlist!). Set a timer for as long as you like - preferably at least 5 minutes.

2. HOLD A CRYSTAL

Choose a crystal to represent your intention this month. Some of our favorite crystals for balance are Agate, Moonstone, or Lepidolite, but you should use any one that resonates with you! As you hold your crystal, set your intentions for balance and harmony throughout the day.

3. CENTER + GROUND YOURSELF

Hold your crystal in your dominant hand and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths to center yourself, envisioning a white light surrounding you. 

4. BALANCING BREATHWORK

Our favorite balancing breathwork follows a 4-4-4 pattern: inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, then exhale for 4 seconds. Repeat. Clear your mind, focusing on your breath and visualizing a sense of calm. See yourself moving through the day with balance and a steady confidence. Take as many breaths as you like.

5. CLOSE YOUR MEDITATION

As you close your meditation practice, express gratitude for your peaceful state of mind and go about your day knowing you can always return to your breath for balance and calm. Bonus - carry your crystal with you or set it somewhere you can see it, knowing it carries your intention and can help guide your focus!

HARMONY BATH RITUAL

February is a month of love and compassion - show some love for yourself! Pamper and indulge with a mindful bath that’ll leave you feeling balanced and refreshed.

1. PREP YOUR BATH

Run a warm bath and add any salts or oils you like to help calm your senses and relax your body. Now’s the time to indulge with self-care and show yourself love!

2. LIGHT A CANDLE

Set the mood and invoke your intention with a candle - scented, colored, or anything that brings relaxing spa vibes to mind! The goal is to create a warm, peaceful environment where you can exhale and just be yourself for a moment.

3. BRING THE CRYSTAL VIBES

Before entering the bath, hold a crystal (Rose Quartz or any pink crystal is a great option!) and set an intention for self-love, acceptance, and harmony. Imagine any emotional tension being absorbed by the crystal. You can set the crystal on the edge of the bathtub, or place it in the bath if it’s watersafe.

4. RELAX & ENJOY

During your bath, visualize any stress or negativity washing away in the water, leaving you cleansed and balanced. Enjoy taking this time for yourself!

5. CLOSE YOUR BATH

Before leaving the bath, give thanks for the relaxation and balance you’ve made for yourself. Visualize any negative energy running down the drain, leaving you light, refreshed, and harmonized. Dry off and carry your newly charged crystal for continued harmony and a sense of peace.


Harmony Bath Affirmation: When I love myself and accept myself as I am in this moment, I am present and in harmony with my truest self.


By incorporating intentional living practices and rituals into your daily life (even for just a few moments!) you can create balance for your mind, body, and spirit. Most importantly, remember that the key to balance and harmony lies within.

    I really enjoyed the meditation’s that were suggested here. I plan to use them to bring good vibes to my new year. I am a Pisces, do you have any suggestions to which stones would work well for me?
